Evangeline (or Eva, as her friends call her)  has always been hated by her brother, Hunter, for not being a Mage, but she's always managed to brush it off.  Ordinary in many ways, the only thing special about her is her artistic ability. Hunter, who's powerful Soul magic has everyone cowering in fear, can't seem to stand the thought of her being happy, and challenges Eva's friend to a duel. This one fateful collision causes her life to spin out of control, as a secret about her is revealed and her life is set on a different course entirely from the one she always thought was written in the stars.
