He is driven by a deep sense of injustice, refusing to let his friends' deaths be dismissed as random accidents. Chloe Tough, street-smart, and deeply skeptical, Chloe masks her fear with sharp sarcasm and anger. She is intensely loyal to her friends and harbors deep resentment for the affluent Sunnyvale residents who treat Shadyside workers like trash. Marcus The group's stoner and perpetual wise-ass, using humor and distraction as a defense mechanism. He is the most sensitive and vulnerable of the group. He knows the mall's layout intimately-the utility closets, shortcuts, and dead zones.
