Temara Lansing is just an ordinary teenager. Like any other girl at North High School, she wants to be pretty, popular, and accepted.
Nicolas "Blaze" Bourgeois, on the other hand, has it all. He is the most popular guy in school. Striking, handsome, and rich, Blaze gets all the girls. He is the type of guy everyone wants to be around.
When the two meet, they are at odds. On the surface, they have nothing in common. Temara is notorious for hanging out with the nerds--Blaze is always seen around the jocks and cheerleaders. When Blaze's grades take a turn for the worst and Mama Bourgeois will not tolerate his behavior, he is forced to be tutored by one of the smartest kids in school: Temara Lansing.
