Life clang to me like a disease
I refused to let my end be predetermined
My life has too much meaning to be cut short
Life was fighting off death for my existence

Each new day is a “blessing”
Just to wake up is the cure
To that horrid disease
It tried…
Worked overtime to try and claim me
Bones began to break, skin discolored
But I couldn’t die
Couldn’t die, I refused death
I have been looking for this cure my entire life

Is this real life?
I cannot even call this living
Why won’t I let this disease take over?
Because,
I do not have an answer
Nothing in this life is worth living for
But I cannot die
So.
Life clings to me still
And I have to adhere to its rules.
