Aniyah Rose Carter wasn't all that she appeared to be and for you to judge her on her appearance would be foolish. She wasn't all that people thought her to be. But to understand her present you must understand her past. "Mom! Please Mom!" I shook her and shook her but she just wouldn't wake. I ran to the phone calling 911 and the lady tried to explain to me how to do CPR and I tried my best I tried so hard. Her eyes were shut and she was turning a blueish purple. Her tongue was swollen and out of her mouth. Frantically crying I felt helpless. The sound of the ambulance ringed in my ears as they rushed inside of the house. I stepped aside and fell onto the floor praying that she was going to be ok. Time went by fast that day they took her off onto a gurney and into the the ambulance soon after to the hospital without saying a word to me on what was going on with her. I called my cousin and my best friend. "Niyah!" Olivia pulled her old truck into the driveway and beckoned me to get in to head to the hospital where my mother was at. I walked to the truck but felt as though my body was moving but not my mind. We reached the hospital and a lady at the front desk asked who we were looking for. "My mother just came in not to long ago in the ambulance" I replied with numb emotions. She picked up the phone and talked to someone before hanging up and leading us to the room that everyone should dread. In bright red letters read "Silent Room". We sat in the room while my mother was in surgery and was waiting for the doctor. Time went by painfully slow then it stopped. Waking up sweating I grabbed the bottle off of my bedside sitting up. I just can't stop dreaming about that day. I can't escape her and the images that haunt me. I didn't even get chance to say goodbye. My best friend was all I really had as family all I really cared about. (besides school) All I wanted was to get out of this privileged life that many will call a blessing but I call a curse. All Rights Reserved
