Charlie Denver was certainly one of the most excited students to go to college. Her high school years had just passed her, and she was off to live her college dream with her best friend, Ben Presley. Everything would be perfect, just how she'd imagined over and over. 
One thing Charlie should have known though, was that when Ben was involved, nothing ever really turned out how she'd planned.
They'd been best friends since diapers, and their parents had put money on the two eventually getting together, much to Oliver's despair. But with time they get out of their shells and she becomes the most popular girl in middle school and then onwards...but the boy still is the same loser like a nerd but he's the one who truly loves the girl while everyone else loves her to be with her, for her attention and "a piece of that cake" in their own words. But whenever she needs help or when she's wasted or drunk the nerdy childhood boy is the one who gets her home and takes care of her and she has never even uttered a word of thank you.
