Everyone knows the stories about the nerd in the corner who gets bullied or is unpopular. The story about how the nerd gets a makeover and becomes all popular, getting back at their bullies. Those stories are too common.

Well, this isn't one of those stories.

Hi. My name is Tarah Larson. I'm seventeen, a senior at Willow Creek High, and I'm a nerd. Or, at least, I'm classified as a nerd.

I know what you're thinking. 'A seventeen year old senior?' Yes, I'm a year ahead, but that's not what's important.

What's important is my so-called 'nerd status.' As smart and nerdy as I am, I'm not picked on or bullied like in all those cheesy stories.

No, in fact, I'm a cheerleader and quite popular, actually. So I'm into Star Wars and being in an A.P. Calculus class with seniors is pretty exciting. That's just a part of me.

I'm Tarah Larson, and I make 'Geek' look chic.
