We have heard stories or have known people whose lives were ruined by alcoholic and other destructive drugs. This book is not about these poor souls who lost their lives to alcohol and drugs.I have met many people who by accident found their way to Alcoholics Anonymous.I will describe in the following pages those individuals who found their way to attending their first AA meetings.I am not going to discuss these people who stay sober after their AA meeting.I will only concern myself with the way miraculous thing that happened to get them their AA meeting. In the following pages I will refer to the alcoholic anonymous program, this work is not sanctioned by that Alcoholics Anonymous. In fact AA had no direct input to the stories I describe in the literary work.I write about people who I have known, who shared with me how strange circumstances got them to their first meetings. The first three stories in this book discuss people who either died or their lives were ruined by the horrible disease of alcoholism.I don't know why some die and others find a way to arrest their drinking or drugging problem.I only discuss these three sad cases because they become a good lead into those people who found themselves at their AA meeting. My personal experience with alcoholism has clearly showed me "many are called but few are chosen".If you know anybody who is suffering from alcoholism or other destructive drugs, don't condemn them but say a silent prayer that they may find a way out of alcoholic bondage.
