This takes place in the 'Sacrifice Arcadia Bay' ending. Max sacrifices the whole town for Chloe. As soon as it dies down, they take one final look at it before leaving for good. However, before the events, Mark Jefferson set out to get rid of Nathan. He overdosed him, just like Rachel, and buried him in the junkyard. Mark was being frantic that night. The fear of his plans all shattering because of one rebellious teen, made him anxiously want to speed up his job before getting caught. This caused him to give the wrong dosage to Nathan. It was enough to slow his heartrate to barely noticeable, but not enough to kill him. Max and Chloe drove around the destroyed town, in hopes of finding survivors. With no luck, they say goodbye and start to drive away. Eventually they reach a motel roughly an hour away, and plan to stay there overnight. Overall, Arcadia Bay is mostly destroyed, Nathan is alive, Max is alive, Chloe is alive, the rest of the town..not so much.
