Savannah Halk and her family know something the world doesn't know. She carries the weight of her deceased father's legacy on her shoulders as she tries to keep her family out of harms way. With a brother missing his twin. Another brother struggling to comprehend his emotions. A mother clinging to death of her husband, and a sister who will never know her father. Katelyn comes from an abusive past. She never knew anyone besides her parents. She learned how to read from her parents although after one hundred years books are a rare oddity, so why would they care if she could read or not?
