Anastasia Vilhjalmsson is desperate to fit in her new life in New York. Ever since she's moved there from Iceland, she's made two friends and plenty of other acquaintances, which is pretty cool in her book.
Then, it all changes when she starts seeing this confusing message everywhere; "Turn the lights off." She dismisses it the first time, but after that, she gets more and more curious. What's going on?
Then, she finds an extremely old looking book. The title is the message that's been haunting her for the past few days, Turn The Lights Off.
She buys it and starts reading it , noticing that the messages have stopped.
Then, a glow comes from under her bed, and she's pulled into a world that she never believed in and there's no chance of going back.
What will she do when danger approaches while Anastasia is still adjusting to her new world?

She doesn't know that having this special Necklace means that there is a supernatural war between two Worlds. Can she win this fight or will she die trying to save humankind from extinction?

Janus Viper was once a handsome king, a cruel ruler that ruled his Kingdom with an iron fist. Even though he had everything he ever wanted since he was born (except, perhaps, love) he taxed his people relentlessly in order to fill his castle with the most beautiful objects, and his parties with the most powerful people. When he dismissed the woman again, the woman's appearance changed only to reveal a beautiful enchantress. Sean begged for forgiveness but it was to late, for the enchantress has only seen selfishness in Sean's heart. As punishment, she turned him into a hideous demon and placed a spell on the castle and all who lived there. As days lead into years, Sean and his servants were forgotten by the world for the enchantress erased all memory of them. And the rose the enchantress gave Sean was truly a enchanted rose. If he could learn to love another, (a male or female), and earn their love in return before the last petal falls, the curse will be broken. If not, Sean will remain a demon, for all time. Beauty and the Beast meets the Labyrinth in the story of a woman lost and a man who couldn't care less. I made a slight mistake. And by slight, I mean an uncharacteristic lapse in judgement has landed me in a place that my rational mind cannot explain, and my body cannot escape. A land full of strange creatures and decaying landscape all ruled by quite possibly the rudest, most rotten person I've ever had the misfortune of meeting. Luckily, I'm a woman quite capable of adapting to my surroundings and I have no problem going toe to toe with my grumpy adversary. I might even turn this dismal place around if I'm here long enough. I wonder, though. For someone who insists he prefers a solitary existence, he sure seems to pop up to antagonize me often enough. Somehow, she ends up in the cursed lands of Greyson. She finds she is trapped in a world where time stands still, and magic exist. At first it seems like a paradise. But like they say, when it seems too good to be true, most of the time it is. When there is a misunderstanding, the king accuses Annie of stealing and he kicks her out of the castle. Done with feeling rejected and alone, Annie decides it's time to find a way out. As she tries to find her way out, she starts to learn more about the curse and its people. She also starts to realize maybe the king is not as big of a monster as she thought. Even though most of Greyson is beautiful, something evil is lurking.
