They were together for seven months. She stood with him through the hardest time of his life. And then, without warning, she disappeared.

Andraste Forsythe spends every minute running from her past. Forgive and forget. She works for S.H.I.E.L.D. now and has for the past several years. Everything she has, everything she is, she owes to Clint Barton, the man who saved her life and the life of her best friend because he made a different call. Her life changed that day and now she works to wipe away all evidence of the life she led before.

She was named part of a special group of remarkable people from the beginning of its conception. The Avengers Initiative. Then that idea was scrapped and the world moved on. But now there's a threat that can't be matched, except by a group of truly remarkable people, however ragtag that group might be. And while searching for that group, a scab from Andra's past is lifted and the wound stings, making her want to do nothing more than turn tail and run.

But sometimes you can't run. Sometimes, you can't get away from your past, no matter how hard you try. And sometimes, every once in a very long while... you don't want to.

There was so much going on he didn't even see who asked the question. He just answered without thinking."Nothing! You people are the ones that attacked first. As I was helping someone! What if they had gotten hurt?!" The Avengers faltered for just a second before straightening their resolve. As the fight went on Loki was getting tired of their incompetence. "Stop!" Loki yelled heavily out of breath. All the Avengers were frozen by Loki's magic. Even the almighty Thor. "You so-called avengers just attacked me unprovoked, risked multiple lives, and won't even listen to what I have to say." He turned to Thor. "But this must seem normal to you my "dear brother" seeing how this is just like the old days." There was a few minutes of silence before anything happened. People started to flood the streets again. Trying to get a glimpse at the action. "Now since I don't want any trouble, I'll come with you without a fight. Like I would have done before had you not shot at my ass! Now I'm going to drop the spell. But don't you dare fire at me!"

I took his hands in mine frantically, causing his eyes to meet mine. "Then hand over the Tesseract and come home, Loki. Please." "I can't." He pulled away. "If I'm not allowed rule on Asgard, then I'll rule here." My eyebrows knitted together in desperation. "Loki, pleas-" My plea was cut shot as a burst of energy and the distinctive clang of metal on metal pushed me over into the god of mischief. We stumbled backwards until I laid on his chest and he grunted from the sudden impact. "Thor." I cursed under my breath. "Sorry..." I began lifting myself off of his body. I narrowed my gaze and quickly stood to rush into Thor's aid, ignoring his dejected expression. I was about to leap off the cliff side when I heard four words that had me frozen in my place unlike anything my powers could do. "I still love you." ___________________________________________ (Y/N) Ísveig thought she'd made peace with Loki's death. She couldn't bring herself to forgive him for everything he had done, obviously, but she was finally beginning to live the life she always wanted. She was no longer deemed future queen of Asgard, and she was slowly learning to control her amplified ice powers. That is, until the god of mischief decides to attack New York and steal the Tesseract. Now (Y/N) must again face her inner demons as her powers quickly deem too much for her to handle, and all her feelings for Loki resurface even though she forces herself to see him as the enemy. Only time will tell if her, along with the Avengers, can put a stop to his schemes, or if New York will ultimately be engulfed by a thick layer of snow, ice, and death. ___________________________________________ BOOK 2 in the Loki x (Y/N) Ísveig series. Heed the call, then--for now, the Avengers Assemble!" Kneeling behind a throne, a clothed, armored figure known as the other, bows. "The Tesseract has awakened. It is on a little world. A human world. They would wield its power.' The other faces a horned shaped shadow. Loki is handed the Chitauri scepter, a long golden handle, fitted with a blue gem encircled with silver blades. "But our ally knows its workings as they never will. He is ready to lead. And our force, our Chitauri, will follow." Tens of thousands of Chitauri stand ready in a seething mass of neat rows and columns....the ground simply quakes. "The world will be his. The universe yours.
