One of the winners of the Once Upon Now contest! Feet Aren't Made for Walking will be renamed Truth Be Told and will be published by Gallery Books, an imprint of Simon and Schuster, on October 11, 2016 in the Once Upon Now Anthology! ---------------------------- Leo Clark is having a really bad day. He's been transported into a topsy-turvy alternate universe (not a good thing when your mom's expecting you home for dinner), he's recently acquired wooden extremities and is physically incapable of telling a lie (an even worse thing when you pride yourself on not sharing your emotions), and his little sister has been kidnapped, mistaken for the lost princess of the Land of Pittsborough (the worst thing of all because...please refer back to the part about Mom making dinner). In order to save his sister and find a way home, Leo will have to confront an evil queen who lives in an office cubicle, a few mice with horrible fashion sense, and a girl with green skin and webbed toes (but hey, at least she's kind of cute). And he'll have to do it all before the clock strikes midnight or risk being trapped in Pittsborough forever. Now if only he could figure out how to walk on his wooden feet... --------------------------- This short story is a modern day fairytale mashup, partially inspired by Pinocchio, The Frog Prince, and many others. Not such a long time ago in a far away kingdom, a princess was cursed. Not much a surprise, but her curse is that no one can see her. Like at all. Finally, she has the chance to escape from being cooped up and she meets him... A boy who does not know she's cursed and a potential love interest Here's the catch. He's blind. The antidote to the curse is that someone would see her as she really is and end the curse so that she could be seen by the outside world. And another thing. She has until her 21st birthday for her to solve this mess. So yippy?? Its going to be a bumpy ride. *Sleeping Beauty retold!* UNDER REVISION

Until one day, the prince decided to host a grand ball where every maiden in the land was invited to attend. The both of them meet each other at the royal ball and share the first dance. But before the prince was able to get the name of the maiden, she had to leave as she had to be home before midnight. And in doing so she left behind a glass slipper. The prince then uses this to aid him in his search for the mysterious girl...but will he find her? Disclaimer: Story is in English! Rosalia is used to enchantment. With a brother who freed a beast and a friend who slept for over a hundred years, coming across enchantment doesn't phase her much. At least, it doesn't phase her when she's not directly dealing with it. But when she meets a talking frog and he ends up coming home with her, that changes things. Of course, after having been on the run for her life, meeting a talking frog wasn't as much of a surprise as one would expect on that particular day. But what does The Frog want? Does he really just want to spend time with her? And a better question, HOW can this frog talk? Besides that, there's him. Mr. Ernest Cliffwood. Charming and attentive and new, his sights apparently set on Rosalia but she's seen that playboy attitude from other rakes of the Ton and knows to be wary even if everyone else sees a marriage on the horizon as The Season gets into full swing. And there's one more person - more mysterious then Mr. Cliffwood. He appears and disappears in and out of the waltzing crowds as easily as if by some enchantment. What are his intentions? Who is he? Who is Mr. Cliffwood.
