Breathe, Leia.

Just breathe.

It'll be over soon and you all can go back to normal. Nothing is going to change and everything is going to keep going the way it did.

I'm just formulating the same sentence with different words. Can you blame me? My heart is beating so fast and so hard I can feel it in my toes. So many things are running through my head right now. "Leia!" Connor shouted as he waved his hand in my face. . "What?" I asked coldly. "We need to go." He responded in a much softer voice. I deadpanned and my body shook from the cold and just outright trauma. "Connor-"
"We need to go." He cut me off quickly. I immediately brought my hand up to my arm and began pinching at it. "Don't do that" He pulled my hand away. "Why the hell not? I'm stressed the hell out and that's the only thing that snaps me back into reality so if I want to pinch myself with my nails until I bleed- I will." I growled menacingly. "No you won't, I won't have anyone else getting hurt tonight, do you understand me?" He countered angrily as he took a step forward. I flinched back a bit and his expression softened again. "It's been a long night." He muttered. "I can't believe that we- We-" I couldn't find myself to finish the sentence. "I know, now come on." He gestured.

All I know is that we'd done something incredibly awful, brutal, and traumatic. And the worst part about it is:

I was so excited about this goddamn job.

You're probably wondering what the hell I'm talking about, why we're in the woods at 2 in the morning. Why I'm so paranoid. Why we're all so snappy. Well, I'll tell you the one thing I do know, it started on my first day at Middleton College.
