Meet Becky. She's currently a college student at Gotham University and is studying the practices of law. While she doesn't exactly fit in very well at school with her peers or professors, at home it is a whole different story. Becky is a loving mother to a little four year old girl named Katrina and a loyal fiancee to her soon to be husband Oliver. All is well in her life, until one fateful night, when her neighborhood is attacked by Gotham's new sinister villain, the Scarecrow. It wasn't until that very night, did Becky's once peaceful life, begin down a path of darkness she would return from. *Prequel to "The Light in Darkness"*

Rowan Wayne never expected her life to turn out this way. Born to the Joker under the name "Ace", she was taken into the foster care system when she was four and the Joker dragged her along to his first appearance in Gotham. She was quickly adopted by Bruce Wayne. She grew up knowing him as her Father, and was there when he took in Dick Grayson, and then Jason Todd. When she was sixteen, and Jason was seventeen they began dating. When he was twenty one and her twenty, he went after the Joker, alone. He didn't come home. She scoured the city to find him, but for six months, they heard nothing. Until Bruce was sent a video tape. Rowan was devastated that Jason had been murdered. For five years she tried to recover, and suddenly, Scarecrow begins a complete take over of Gotham City with a mysterious stranger, only called "The Arkham Knight", who seems to know everything about Bruce. And about her. What will she find out as the night progresses? And how will she handle the truth when she finally finds out who the Arkham Knight is? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (A/N: Big trigger warning for a gore, violence, and mentions of suicide! I will put trigger warnings on the chapters that require it. I do not own the picture used for the cover, I found it on Google! All rights go to the original owner! And, of course, massive spoiler warning for the game Batman: Arkham Knight!)

Young Grace Hunter finds herself in trouble when she decides to write a book about all the superheroes and villains of the Justice League and Marvel, then put it up for sale on eBay. Follow her as she finds the truth of her parents and learns to control her powers. While Batman and Nightwing try to figure her out, she's creating a name for herself with Ra's Al Ghul. The Joker steals her life and everything she ever cared about from her. Bruce Wayne takes her in. In his mind it goes a little like this "Keep Your Friends Close, But Your Enemies Closer!" Will this be a great romance or a story of tragedy. This is a fanfiction for specifically Justice League but Marvel and other story and movie characters will show up along the way, I do not own most characters, I only own my creation Grace and Quarters Hearts and the story plot. Hope you like! If there are spelling mistakes I'm sorry, I keep going back to revise every once and awhile.
