There ARE Multiple timelines, the protag of the current one is named Kera, she's Frisk's slightly-older cousin. Both of them are 17 at the start of their journey in the Underground.
There's only been one timeline where both were in the underground.
One ALWAYS dies at 10, except that one time. Always the same car accident. If Frisk dies, it's because they pushed Kera out of the road. If Kera dies, it's because they weren't quick enough to push her.

Both are descended from Sorcerers, but only Kera really has magic. Frisk's hair is naturally curly. I think that's all the context you need to understand what's going on.All Rights Reserved
