In September 2015, Tallulah "Tally" Banks is popular for all the wrong reasons: she cuts class to skate, breaks curfew and never backs down from a fight. That is, until one day she pushes it too far and feels the consequences.
What she didn't expect as she entered her senior year was her life to be intertwined with the new transfer, Zachary West, and all the goddamn trouble he brought with him.
Friends and enemies are changing and what Tally thought would be a typical senior year is set to be entirely different, for better or for worse.

The rules of the Tofino Tally are simple: No kissing. No sex. No falling in love. Lizzy Bray Sterling is a chronic over-achieving competitive ass. Although, so am I, bringing the chronic illness into chronically over-achieving. While I may be set for a life full of pain, dwindling savings, and day after day in our small coastal town, Bray is heir to the Sterling family empire. Everything he's ever done can be explained by a stereotypical plot diagram. Trying to put an end to the Tofino tally was the one time he didn't play into the cliché. The tally, as the seniors before us coined it, is a high stakes silly game of lust, desire, and money. Everything Bray loves, but for some reason didn't play into five years ago. I would re-evaluate my pseudo-bullying if his previous choices weren't screwing current me over. Because of his stupid act of not hosting the tally, he's been put into the game as a competitor... with me as his partner. All I have to do is not give into temptation. Easy, right? Bray Lizzy is a chronic over-achieving competitive ass... who I cannot get out of my head. Lucky for her, I bring those same traits to each argument. Between my father's impossible standards and how her contempt for me is not an act, she should be the last thing on my mind, at least that's what I tell myself. I was never one for self discipline. With my father's plans for me to take over the family business looming over my head, bantering with her is the only thing that brings me relief. However, in two months Lizzy won't be there for me to rile up whenever I feel compelled to see her blush.
