Laila is a beautiful 15 year old girl. She is very imaginative, kind, and brave. Her mother became really sick and passed away which caused her father's depression. Desperate to find her a mother, he marries a beautiful, yet wicked, Afreda. While her father went away to work, her stepmother has her as a maid for her and her children. She doesn't really mind because she still is able to escape for a while and talk to the forest animals. Her father doesn't know about what happens when he is gone. Because of what her mother told her, she is always happy and kind.
Soon she meets a boy in the forest. She goes into the forest more often to meet with him as he does the same. He lends her Pearl, his horse, who she keeps a secret from her family. They begin to fall in love. Laila doesn't know his secret, that he is a prince. He teaches her how to fight, ride a horse and play a flute.

Even though their Kingdoms had peace together; Marshall Mother would not allow them to go on dating (she will not allow forbidden love in her Kingdom.) So she declared war on them just to kill the princess, but they protected her with there lives. And same with the prince; because they where after him too. When things turned for the worst the servants that was pertaining the princess and prince was given orders to bring them to a different kingdom. Fionna went to the Cat kingdom, they where ordered to erase her mammary about Prince Marshall and being royalty. Marshall went to the Dog kingdom but instead of erasing his mammary of Fionna and being royalty they tried to covens he that she was died. He didn't at first then he finally gave in and believed them. When the war was over every human was died. (so they thought) Fionna was taken in by a cat names Cake, when everything was set they moved out of the Cat kingdom to live on there own. At the dog kingdom they gave him a choose to go back to the Vampire kingdom or live on his own. When he choose to live on his own they gave him some things and let him go. He thought he will never see his lovely little princess again. And some where deep inside Fionnas heart and mind she is going to miss her prince as wall. Will they find each other again?
