The internet was slower, I was smaller. Roger had just replaced Jason as Sonic's voice, Sonic Generations would be announced in a few months. Meanwhile little Jakey is told to do some homework for school. Instead he decides to write a Sonic Fanfiction. And instead of being scolded for this embarrassing drivel, his teachers encourage him to finish it. For better or for worse, here we are.
