2056, twelve years after the discovery of lacrima, a breakthrough renewable energy. Earth seemed to lost its ability to produce food. Just in next one year, humankind population had been rapidly decreased into fifty millions left.

Fall to desperation, the last government on earth, WRO(World Resurrection Organisation) decided to take the survivors to the space station where they would stay for five years while on earth they activated CRSS(Core Resetor Surgery System)-lacrima based machine to reset earth inner core.

Prevent boring space activities that could lead into some unwanted result, WRO had built a VR game, named FAS(Fantasy And Science). The reason why this game was made, WRO never show it to public. Meanwhile, a group of scientist would watch the progress with caution. Why they're doing this?

Ten years later, the champion Caedes returns for a second year at this esteemed campus with the fame of defeating the Forman Online Final Boss and the glory of winning the championship of the same game in his resume, none of these can seem to pick him up after the loss of his lover Jalis, who has sacrificed herself for him. But with much awaiting him in year two... only time will tell what will become of him.

The title of this story was just completely random, at first. In the middle of writing the story, the title finally became relevant. While coming up with the story, the game's name was also random. There was no wordplay involved. But just remember: Curiosity killed the cat~ The star of this story does whatever she wants and treats all other players simply as sources of experience points.

But maybe he can find a glitch in the system; a way to keep his body without paying out so much for it. What could possibly go wrong? TG/AR themes.
