Azalea is a 16-year-old living in a world where love is forbidden, and anyone caught having it will be sentenced to death. All citizens are required to take a special pill once a month that will erase all thoughts of love from their minds.
Azalea doesn't know why, but the pills never seem to work for her. No one knows her secret, except for her best friend, Lavender.
On her 17th birthday, Azalea finds out why love is forbidden and realizes that she might be in grave danger if she falls. But it may just be too late.
