The world has been taken over by werewolf's, it happened before I was born, but I knew the stories. The stories my Father handed down from his Father, they were all i had left of them, my parents. The memories I held of them, the good ones, were weak compared to the memories of my 14th birthday. That was the day the world changed for me, not when they took over the world, the day my parents died because of my actions. 
The King still rules over them all, his Grandfather was the first, the first werewolf. He was ruthless and relentless when it came to the humans in the villages. That is until he finds a young broken girl on the day of the mate conquest and finds himself having a human for a mate. 
Will he be able to get past the fact that he has fallen for the one thing they sought to control? Will she be able to confront her past and move beyond the pain of her mistake?

"Open your damn eyes!" He shouted at me and pushed me harder against the tree. "I want you to look at me."

"Please, let her go, let Grace go." I whispered, begging for Grace and opened my eyes to please him, hoping to get on his good side.

"Why? You didn't listen to me so why should I listen to you? What gives you the right to ask me such a question?" He asked me, his throat emitting a loud growl. 

"Because I will never forgive you if you kill her, your men have already killed Dan!" I screamed and pushed against him, trying to get to Grace. 

"Forgive me? Ha! Who says that I want your forgiveness, huh? What about me? Should I forgive you?" He asked me, his voice straining with each word.

"I don't know you, so why should I be nice to you! You've attacked my village, you took my parents away from me and now you are trying to take my - my - I won't let them go again!" I screamed, tears now following free. 

"Well then, let this be a reminder for you not to cross me again." He hissed and I heard a sound that would stay with me for the rest of my life.All Rights Reserved
