Darkness. That's the first think I remember. Then i hear voices. I saw lights... they were flashing here and there. I heard a woman yelling for someone or something. "LYRIC!" She was calling the name Lyric... i wonder who that is. The woman's voice started to fade, the sky started to become a bright shade of violet-orange... at least i think its the sky. I wasnt able to move at first, the cool, crisp air was keeping my muscles from moving. Every breath I let out turned to a crisp fog, then disapeared. When i could, at last, feel my legs muscles, i stood and found myself in an unfamiliar place. I tried to remember anything from the day before, but i could hardley remember who i was. "What I was suppose to do? You left me, you went to Arizona." I shout at him as he storms away. "Wait for me." He shouts and I go mute. Did he really just say that? Had he really expected me to just sit around? "Oh yeah, just like you did for me." I finally say, finding my voice. "You moved on Elijah and it crushed me," I start as I get emotional and my voice breaks. "You think I don't know? You think that I wasn't hurt? I spent ten months holding onto you and even after that I still won't let you go, I still can't let you go." Elijah flips, shocking me. "You are everything Scarlett...and I am nothing without you." he says, eyes liquid as he stares intently at me. I notice how close we were to each other now. His hand on my waist now and I step in closer to him, heart racing like crazy. "I am nothing without you," he repeats quieter, leaning in towards me. For sixteen year old Scarlett Grey, happiness and love has never been in her favor...or life itself. But all that changes one crazy, complicated, and absolutely confusing summer...Read about Scarlett's tumultuous summer as she discovers things she never knew about life and love and the craziness of it all.
