Agent Edward Townsend of MI6 is many things: young, ambitious, calculating, and yes, strikingly handsome. Sure, he's got a reputation of being condescending, but that's not taking him off the fast track to become a top clearance operative before he's thirty and be privy to Britain's most precious government secrets. Edward has a long list of achievements under his name, including thwarting missile-smuggling ex-KGB generals and taking three bullets to save the British Queen, so he (reasonably) thinks he's seen it all.

Until a woman named Catherine Goode walks into his life.

His brief- yet life-changing- affair with her sends him on a collision course with an international terrorist organization that has existed since the American Civil War, a group of talented young girls attending the world's premier boarding school for spies, and maybe even the love of his life.

This novella tells readers the backstory behind the most mysterious of characters from Ally Carter's Gallagher Girls series.

(Note: I am not Ally Carter. These characters and the general story line belong to her. Plus, this was written before her Plaid Collection epilogues came out, so the novella may not match up perfectly.)

(This book was previously known as Protection) Allison Reed has always been the apple of her family's eye. In all her years of life, she's always been trying to know what life is all about. However it doesn't help having older, twin brothers who make it their personal job description to keep her from heartbreak until she reaches the ripe old age of 25. Wesley Parker comes into the picture. A seemingly normal guy with ripped jeans and an overall badass aura, but a sweet guy beneath the facade. But Wesley isn't your ordinary teenager, no. He's fluent in many languages, is well trained in multiple forms of martial arts, has never achieved anything less than an "A" for any test or exam, is able to go through Navy Seal obstacle courses flawlessly within 6 minutes, and has the ability to shoot smiley faces on targets from 500 yards away. He's the top student of Holmes Academy, an elite but excellent school under the protection of the CIA. The school trains underprivileged or neglected teenagers and kids who can choose to continue serving the CIA, or take their knowledge elsewhere. He's the only person capable of protecting Allie when her brothers are called in by the police to take down one of New York's most notorious criminals, Garrett Baker, who is deluded into thinking that Allison Reed is his long lost daughter and is hell bent on bringing her home. And how else can he protect her but to move into her home? And can he keep it a secret that he's not who she thinks he is?

Little did Mallory know of the demons that hid behind Hunter's ocean eyes or his twisted game that she unknowingly became a part of until it's too late. She belonged to him, only him. She was Hunter's Prey. ─────────────────────────────── I fail to suppress the whimper that manages to escape my lips. "So scared," he whispers. "Yet so fucking wet." "I...I'm not wet..." He leans in, the tip of his nose trailing along the side of my face as his grip around my throat tightens and he lifts me off the mattress by my neck. He slides his free hand into my panties, depositing two fingers into my core. The coolness of his rings prompts a loud moan from me before he pulls them out. "Liar," he growls, glossing the seams of my lips with my own arousal. "Now, open your mouth, bambi." ⚠ TW: This book is a dark romance containing mature themes such as graphic violence, murder, mentions of abuse & self-harm, strong language, age-gap relationship and explicit sexual themes. Guns, revenge and buildings to bomb, what could go wrong? ✮ He came in, gun held out in front of him in one hand while the other was resting on his hip where a sharp dagger gleamed in the light. "Come on out little girl, why not make this easier for both of us. The agency you ran away from just want to have a little talk, that's all." She scoffed internally. Yeah right. Then the footsteps ceased. She peeked to the right, then to the left. Neither direction showed any sign of the intruder. She looked up in front of her and gasped, the glint of steel and smell of death as overwhelming as it was adrenaline inducing, exciting. "Boo." ✮ Murder, accidents, assassinations. Call it what you will, it's all the same, all has the same life breaking, mind shattering consequences - be it for the victim or the bystander. It had shaped Alex in a way no one should be. Broken down and rebuilt into the perfect soldier, one who had the power to change the world, to fight battles that would either make or break the carefully constructed vision we all live in. The only small, minute, really unimportant detail - it's pretty hard to get into a government classified site when you're 15 years old and have a rag-tag team of double-crossing back-stabbers behind you. Not to mention the threat of a world war and ghost hanging above your head. Armed with sarcasm, wit, and a hell of a lot of aggressive intentions, it won't be too long till a sticky situation is all that's ahead of you. Sometimes, running head-first into a situation isn't the best idea. Instead, you gotta play a game. A deadly game where either you have all the pieces on the board, or you have nothing. [previously known as Espionage: double-cross] Thanks for reading :)

**FAIR WARNING: YOU WILL HAVE TO BE PATIENT WITH CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, BUT IT IS THERE, AND WORTH THE READ. IF YOU ARE OVERLY SENSITIVE, DO NOT READ THIS BOOK* Logan Pierce and Noah Locke are sworn enemies. Both at the top of their class, holding themselves to the highest standards; both captains of their volleyball teams, Logan as the girls captain, Noah as the boys; and both constantly playing seemingly harmless pranks to get back at one another. Or, at least, they're usually harmless... If one thing is true, Noah Locke and Logan Pierce are not friends. But does that mean they could never be friends? Or transcend their title as enemies? Logan might take things too far sometimes, but there's a reason behind the angry front she puts on, and in order to get behind it, someone needs to show her that there's more to life than being the best at everything. Cue Noah Locke. When the two volleyball teams are sent away to a team bonding camp for a week over Fall break, Logan and Noah must learn to get along for the sake of their teams. Partnered up and made to do activities together and bond, the goal is for Noah and Logan to stop this ongoing feud. And when something happens at the bonding camp that brings Logan's vulnerable side up to bat, Noah is the one who has to bring her back. While Logan and Noah explore something other than hatred for one another, there are secrets and people who could be working in toll to bring them apart. But will they be able to transcend those factors and stop fighting for once? Or were they destined to be enemies forever? "Better Than You" challenges the idea that enemies have to stay enemies forever, and proves that if you don't run away from love, you may just find where you were meant to be.

[COMPLETE] 18+ (but if you're not 18, I won't tell on you) --- It had been a mistake. It had all happened so fast. The look on her parents' faces when they found out had been devastating. Perhaps that was why she didn't complain when they decided to send her to a small village in Canada, away from the chaotic and luxurious Los Angeles, with the excuse of being an exchange student for a year. Grace Castle was more than happy to welcome Elizabeth "Lizzie" Wright in her modest house, along with her son Nate and, well, Aaron. It had been 2 years since Grace had taken in the troubled 18-year-old boy, after the tragedy that had occurred to him and his family. Dark and untamable like smoke, Aaron was the exact opposite of Lizzie, groomed to be the perfect woman, always following the rules, and stepping out of line only that one time. One time that cost her a year away from her old city, far away from curious ears and judging eyes. A year that was going to change her life completely, tumbling into a den of lions ready to devour her as soon as they had her in their pack as one of their own. He would not let her have it easy. It was time for sweet, docile Lizzie to face the world and its snakes. He'd make sure of that. Though... was he sure she was not just yet another wolf in a sheep's clothing? Was her heart as pure as he believed, or could it be shaded with swirls of gray smoke like his? ---
