Losing my dear friend

You hear it on the radio, see it on television or you best friend tells you about it. Those kinds of things always sound terrible, but you're never involved in the tragedy itself. You can read about it in books, how little kids lose their parents, their relatives or their friends. How they have to leave their home and hope to get adopted by some kind family. Sometimes they even hurt themselves, because they don't know how to handle the situation. Nobody else really knows what these people have to go through until they experience it themselves.
