My 56,970-word book The Healer, is a science fiction novel set in the year 2181. Dr. Reynolds Cully is awarded a Harvard grant to travel to Mars with his family. His assignment is to research the physiology of an ancient race there, now long extinct. All their recorded history lies within the titanic edifice known as The Face on Mars. But while there, authorities discover an eons old Martian time/space travel device. This is apparently how they explored the universe, when dinosaurs still ruled our Earth. But a mystery has always intrigued him: he is granted a National Science Foundation grant to use the ancient device, and travel to Earth in the year 2013, to try and solve the medical mystery known as The Great Alaskan Plague of 2012. Eventually he does reveal the cause. But unbeknownst to him, back in 2181 Mars, a sinister group of religious zealots known as the Creation Purity Brigade, believe unearthing of Martian artifacts and cultural icons is sacrilege and blasphemy to Judeo-Christianity. And they blow up the time/space travel apparatus! Dr. Cully is now stranded in a violent & primitive world - ours; 168 years and 150 million miles from his wife & children. How will he survive? How will he heal using 22nd century technology, without exposing his real identity; and possibly altering the course of history in doing so? It is a crisis of conscience he must grapple with. But he has no choice. For he is - THE HEALER.

Between1848 and 1870, life expectancy in Liverpool, England, increased from 19 years to 40 years because of the new sewage system. In 1854, Dr. J. Snow identified a public well as the source of a cholera outbreak in London. In 1865, J.Lister applied a carbolic acid solution, to a boy's broken leg and was amazed when the leg bones fused back together without gangrene. WHO THE HELL ARE WE? is a series of short books and videos describing the evolution of civilization. Almost everyone on the planet is five times wealthier than their ancestors only 50 years ago. This astonishing phenomenon has also improved health, education, and longevity. The cause; an explosive growth in ideas and productivity. It began when we learned to control fire, evolved articulate speech and stumbled onto the way to create infinite wealth; free trade. The discovery of agriculture made us richer but we also learned how to destroy wealth. Great civilization grew up but then disappeared leaving only incredible ruins and ideas. The Stone Heart of Shambala
An old school friend invites the protagonist to his home in Ghorka, Nepal. After a few months staying there, his friend returns for a while to England leaving Mark in Nepal. The world is hit by powerful solar storms which knock out everything electric. His friend, Sabin, has to return to Nepal come what may, so he begins a journey on foot across Europe, where he meets a fellow Nepalese, and they join company. Their journey is hastened when they are picked up by a Sikh pilot in a small plane returning to India. Taking advantage of lulls in the solar storms, they hop across the Middle East until they reach India. The plane cannot continue, so they split up on foot, with the pilot heading to his home, while the two Nepalese men head for theirs. At last Sabin finds himself in Kathmandu, where he leaves his friend and picks up a small packet of seeds from the Post Office. Shortly after, he arrives in Gorkha where his wife and Mark are waiting for him. No sooner has he rested, than a group of Tibetan monks arrive in the village carrying messages to the Dalai Lama in India. They also carry one for Sabin, from his uncle in a monastery near Mount Kailash. His uncle requests his presence, so Mark and Sabin leave on horseback and head into the Himalayas. After a long and arduous journey they arrive at the monastery, where the monk asks them to take a message to a monastery further north which is unknown to the Chinese, and not on any map. They set off into the mountains, and find themselves sheltering in a cave from a terrible snowstorm. Coming out of the cave in the morning, a group of unusual rescuers are waiting to take them to their destination. A walk through a tunnel in a mountain, leads them to a hidden valley of warm sunshine and green fields.Complete
Bones on Mars - A paranormal, sci-fi, fantasy romance
The mission - colonize the slopes of Olympus Mons on Mars before the Pacific Alliance lands. The challenge - something isn't quite right with the site foreseen for the colony. Explorations reveal a cave where the support struts for the home dome are supposed to go. It gets worse - not only does the cave move, but it contains the impossible: a human skeleton. And there's a writing on the wall. What starts off odd, soon descends into total madness. But the next shuttle back to Earth doesn't launch until next year. ONC Prompt 59. The year is 2042. The first astronauts landed on mars. They find a cave with a single human skeleton and four words written on the wall.Complete

Hope you like it!] As is customary when one reaches twelve years of age, the Order has manufactured your very own Face. As all Faces are created uniquely for the individual, operating based on DNA given to the Order by your kind doctors and physicians, it is required that you wear your Face as often as you can (excluding meals and sleep) to ensure maximum results. Such results, as you may know, include the following: -increased intellect -increase in motor skills/capabilities -drop in anxiety, depression, mood swings...etc. etc. -regulated impulse control to ensure the safety of yourself and those around you -regulated mood to ensure the safety of yourself and those around you * Note that Face technology, while it does improve mental and emotional stability, will not and cannot help or fix physical disabilities, nor can it fix serious mental disabilities. See your local doctor to receive treatment for such ailments, as your Face is incapable of doing so. Your Face, as you may have heard, will be your new identity from this day forward. You cannot go anywhere without it. Damage or loss of your Face or anyone else's Face will lead to severe consequences. I slammed the table loudly and groaned out of pain. Not only the pain from the headache I was having right now. But also from the memories flooding my mind as well. I was slowly remembering everything. "I hate you!"I shouted seething from anger as I gritted my teeth to stop myself from attacking him. He was really tempting me and I knew it wouldn't be long before I would attempt to pull his face apart and rip out his throat. "Not more than I hate you Alexander Norman. Trust me." He said emphasising on the name that seemed so foreign to me yet that was my real name. He had a mischievous glint in his eyes as he seemed to enjoy the internal battle I was having in my head.
