Leafkit was hit by a sudden burst of cold air she turned her head looking at darkness. "Wha..." She whimpered. Amberbreeze looked at Leafkit smiling "welcome to the world little one" he meowed softly. Leafkit smiled and soon felt her mothers tounge and she purred "I c-cant s-see!" She protested and stomped her foot trying to get to her feet. Honeymoss smiled at her daughter and turned to Amberbreeze "Yes, why can't she see?" She asked her voice filled with worry. Amberbreeze rested his tail on Honeymoss's shoulder "it will come on her own time" he meowed.

The first kit to come out was a tom with cream and white fur, laughing. The last kit came out was a white she-cat with long tufts of fur in between her ears. Her underbelly fur and tail was just as long, and the fur was long on her long tail. "Dream, Oat, Cloud get back inside the no pelt den right this instant!" The tom yowled. "Oh Frances doesn't be so harsh on them." the she-cat purred. "But Lucy, you know as well as I do that they will want to follow me to my no-pelt's den, then your no-pelt will be so worried that it will forget about you and will look for the kits," Frances said. "You don't have to worry so much." Dream said, "We would not be able to hop on top of the fence!" "Speak for yourself!" her sister Cloud said as she hopped onto the fence. She gasped as she steadied herself and looked out on the world beyond the fence. It was right then and there that she knew that was where she belonged.
