My world was perfect and everything was going as planned. Four beautiful children, a successful job and a country home by the ocean. Everything came to a sudden halt when my beautiful vivacious 15 year old son Lucas was thrown from a speeding car at high speed killing him within 1 hour. The driver survived with non life threatening injuries but what we were dealt with was more than I could ever dream of handling. A real nightmare was at hand and I had to learn how to live in hell. "Unfortunately, I wish it was just a made-up story, something that belonged in the realm of fiction. But it isn't. I'm guessing it started happily at first. Just a naive 10-year-old enjoying what life threw at her. As they say, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. But I didn't. I longed for more. With my lemons, I wanted lemonade, lemon cake, lemon pie, honey and lemon juice, lemon tea, and even lemon water!" I guess now I can't have any of that anymore, right?
