Addison has never been sick a day in her life. And when her college campus goes on a lockdown because of a deadly virus, she's one of the few who still seems to have her wits about her.
The quarantine was only supposed to last for a few days, but then, the virus was only supposed to make people sick.
It wasn't supposed to turn them into emotionless robots whose only desire is to eat human hearts. It wasn't supposed to give them superhuman strength. It wasn't supposed to destroy the world Addy lives in.
But that's exactly what happens.
Now, the only thing on Addy's mind is how to escape the deadly prison her college has become and try and find her way home.

During the event, something unimaginably horrifying occurs. All of a sudden, she witnesses people getting eaten and torn apart by 'sick' deranged people. The entire school campus is turned to bloodshed. A switch goes off in her head when she sees the chaos unfold, there is only one thought that enters her mind. And that is to protect her little brother Zane no matter what.... Becoming Them: A Zombie Novel

It didn't exactly make it easy to prevent getting infected. Things could have been worse, though, Megan thought. She could've been left all alone to ponder over her thoughts and fear over the future. It'll only be within the time spent with the new group will she find out that everything's not as happy and welcoming as it had seemed. These people had a few secrets of their own, including the real reason they took Megan in.
