Cassy Grey had it all, loving parents, a younger sister and her best friend. In a matter of minutes, she lost it. Just like that they were swept away - literally. But nothing is ever that easy is it? Losing your entire family is never enough, how about changing your hair? Or maybe discovering icy powers? That's what Cassy discovered the day she lost it all, everything slipped between her fingers but something bigger than her, something more dangerous landed there. 
With dark times ahead for Cassy all seems bleak, alone in an unfamiliar place she gives up. When everything is lost, when she feels so alone in an unfamiliar world, she must put her faith in those she knows very little to traverse this new life.

This is my first story so I apologize in advance if there are any mistakes. My writing has gotten a lot better since I started this story so after a few chapters it gets better.

The water creatures: the Sirens, the Mermaids, the Kelpies. The shapeshifting academy is kind of like Hogwarts with the letters and using owls for sending mail. Yes, there is a castle for the academy and no, there isn't any witch or wizards those are supposedly extinct. Now I have to go were going to find out what animal we shift into at the ceremony soon.
