Danika Striders is the girl next door who had just graduated high school and decided to pursue her education by joining a college across the state. Moving from the big, sunny city of Phoenix, Arizona to a much smaller city up near Colorado. Just next to the forest, Danika finds herself with a mysterious silver key to a locked passage in her closet wall. Curiosity getting the better of her, she discovers a hidden storage room filled with a myriad of different things. Things go downhill quickly when she realizes she's not in Arizona anymore and instead in a kingdom in the sky inhabited by dragon shape-shifters. Dragons aren't her only concern though. Soon after her arrival Danika can't return home the way she came and has to learn the ways of the inhabitants of the sky.. and the hundreds of species on the lands below.
