Kayla Winters has always loved the water. She has practically lived in it since a toddler. She's competed in a variety of competitions, won a multitude of trophies and is being considered for the Olympic line-up.

But recently things haven't being going so well for her.

She's being plagued by dreams - dreams of drowning. It always ends the same... a shadowy figure with eyes the colour of chocolate pulling her to the surface.

She hasn't the faintest clue what is happening to her. But a trip to the seaside changes her life forever as she knows it - the shadowy figure from her dreams stands on the pier, the sunset framing his tall, lean body and suddenly everything becomes too much as she hops on the rollercoaster of life.
