My name is Jack, and I'm just your average school nerd. When I say "nerd", I mean the top of my class, and when I say "average school" I mean a school for...gifted people. 
In my school, the lessons you take are specific to your gift and strengths (or gifts if you are really lucky). My gift happens to involve weaponry and combat. Not for the wars that are going on in the mortal world, but a war against a much deadlier species. Demons. 
I have always wanted to be just like my dad, a qualified Demon Hunter. I am so close to getting there. I am the top of my class, and can kick everyone's ass, including the coaches. Oh, and I forgot to mention I am the only girl in the class. 
I have about a month before my 16th birthday, when I come of age, and then I can train with my dad. 
But then he showed up and everything that could go wrong, did go wrong.
