Six kids. Six kids dealing with six different things. This story follows the tales of six teenagers that deal with something that tears at them. ------------------------ Athena, 14, scared of her body, anorexic mainly, bulimic when she thinks she she needs to be. Lexi, 16, scared of her parents, physically abusive father and emotionally abusive mother. Phil, 15, scared of his sexuality, growing up gay in a homophobic household. Luke, 17, scared to be near a friend of a friend, is sexually harassed and raped whenever he sees them. Miles, 13, scared of his born sex, birth name Allison, identifies as he/him. Gabriella, 14, scared of her mind, diagnosed with depression.

This is a story about unfortunate children with unfortunate problems, a special teacher to help them through it, and a clueless bystander who learns to shed her ignorance and see through the veil of pain that many of these kids dawn every day. ------------------------------------------------ This is a project I'm working on for my English class in school. It's called the 20time project. My teacher, an amazing woman, was inspired to do this project after learning about it after attending a sort of convention called Google Summit I believe. Basically, we are dedicating 20% of our time (not including after school hours) to work on a project of our choosing to somehow better the society in which we live. I chose to write a book. I thought it would be in my best interest to share.
