Yes, truly, it is a tale so astounding that Lord Byron himself couldn't have made it more melodramatic. As is often said, the finger shall not stray far from the pulse, nor eye from the page. As is the standard script for fantasy: 'this boy's actions, though he does not know it yet, will alter the course of history'. Poor lad, he was only in it for the milk. And now as we cast joviality aside, let's observe Michael, and watch how his journey begins...
