Maya Kudo lived an average New York life for the most part. She attended high school, played video games, hung out with friends, danced in her kitchen to loud music, survived the routine teenage lifestyle. But when a viral infection breaks loose around the world, her life and everyone else's is changed forever. Those bitten or scratched by the infected die before being resurrected as a mindless, cannibalistic creature, commonly referred to as a zombie. Tested by violence, fear, love, and loss, Maya and her fellow group of survivors don't know how long they will last. But one thing is sure: even if a cure is released, Maya's life will never be the same again.
