Seven years ago two girls were kidnapped, Storm and Sam Kirt. The sisters were brought to the Place. 

Two years after, five years ago they escaped. Storm breaks her ankle on the way out of the Place and can't come with Sam. She tells Sam to run, which is what Sam does.

That's the last time anyone saw Sam and Storm.
