Wind Child

Her life was never simple, never what you'd expect it to be. Yet she'd lived it the same way for 14 years. She used to cry, because it hurt, but now she barely notices, although her teachers, peers, and neighbors don't.
When Genesis is removed from her violent and abusive father, she somehow struggles to live the normal life a child is suppose to, but with the help of a local police officer, she discovers the true and amazing feeling that she can be loved.
