We know so much about our world. Or, at least, we think we do. We actually know very little, at least about the world around us. But you'd be surprised about the things out there. Did you know that the secret to eternal life lies in one tiny, gossamer insect? Or that creatures of myth and legend roam the wildest regions of our world, unheard, and unseen? Did you know that supposedly everyday people you see around you, might not be what they seem to be? Did you know that the stars are alive? No, you didn't, I'll bet. There are so many secrets undiscovered. Our religions, myths, legends, and stories are based on a world, deeply intertwined with our own. Sadly, some stories, are never told. Mine was almost one of them. My name is Sarah Johnson, and this is my story. *This is not exactly family-friendly, as there is blood, violence, and swearing. However, aside from that, there is only a few slightly mature scenes, nothing that will make you young'uns' parents out there overly crazy. *This belongs entirely to me. If I see this posted anywhere else, and not by me, or without my permission, I'll have every right to ask you to remove it.

Book One. It's a strange, even mad world indeed. A world where magic once long ago filled the air, and was felt within everything, until humanity explored it's potential for power, destruction, and war. And with it came the true nature of it: Chaos, the source of magic. It nearly ripped apart creation, and thus, some legendary hero took sealed it away to protect the creation from destruction- Adaygue, Great Mother to everyone. She became the deity to protect magic, and her followers called herself "Children of Adaygue". 3135 years later, after countless of wars, magic flickers and loses its meaning. But the people "blessed by Adaygue" face segregation, racism, and exploitation from the countries they live in. The story revolves around a group of people from all over the world: Madleine and Marik Winterfeldt, siblings by choice and Gene, a young noble living in the old Holy Empire of German Nation, a nation riddled with magical infested rifts as literal scars of war, and in continuesly danger of being at war again with it's powerful neigbour, The Holy French Empire of the Sun. On the other side of the planet, in the United Kingdom of America, magic abled people have more possibility to work with their "blessing", if it is viewed more useful. This means to fight against giant beasts from faultlines, that have strange connections to rifts. There is a band of people quite successful with it and one in particular is celebrated like a popstar: Hades, (self-declared) God of the Underworld, trying to survive a world where the only worth a person like him is how much money he generates for the large companies called "guilds". It's a world ruled by chaos. A mad world indeed.
