Book Two of the Ran Away Series! (Note:This is NOT a werewolf story) Max Freeman is not your average 15-year-old boy. He is in hospital because a warehouse roof fell on him, and now he is recovering. Max and his sister are in grave danger. An organisation known only as Masked Ones are in hot pursuit of them, they are planning something, something big. He then meets an almost completely wiped out civilisation known only as the Onimato (Oni-MA-toe) he finds out that he is one of their descendants; in fact his whole family is of the blood. They decide to teach him their ways, and the history of their people. With new his new found magic Max might just make it out alive, but will all these small advantages help him from stopping The Masked Ones from destroying his destiny? Masks

This is the second book to Barriers {damirae} so if u haven't read that one some stuff in this one won't make sense so I sagest u read that one first. --------------------------------------------------------------------- "I wear a mask. Not to hide but to protect, protect people from getting hurt. It consoles and hides away all the emotions I keep at bay. I wear a mask. It is stained black and seeping through all the emotions I hide from you. Distorted and can't make out All these shadows that lurk about. But though the eyes you can see a hint at thy you can perceive. Nothing left... I'm inside out. And now i see that the mask itself... was meant for me. Sometimes you wear a mask for to long that you forget who you used to be beneath it all. In all this confusion one thing holds true, my feeling for you. So when I say I love you. I don't expect to hear it in return. I just want you to know I Love you not for how you danced with my angels. But for the way you calmed my Demons." ~ Robin
