Myka is a sixteen year old girl that has moved to a new town. She has no friends, and her only relative in her new town is her mother. Myka decides that if she can't make any real friends, she'll create one herself.
Melody is an android who has known nothing but darkness for the whole of her existence, when she suddenly comes to life, and is greeted by a girl named Myka and a boy named Trevor. She then has a lovely time getting to know the world and all that it offers.
Life gets complicated for both Myka and Melody though, when Melody falls for a human. Will their love last? Or will it destroy Myka and Melody's friendship?
