I stare at his piercing blue eyes for a few moments before he turns his head and stares at my brown eyes.

My friend, Wren, shakes me. He puts his hands on his hips, "What do you see in Kevin? "

I shrug, "You're gay," what do you not see?" He smiles,"Good point. " my eyes roll in annoyance.

My best friend Paige Burrow hugs me from behind, "So, who is the new guy?"

I shrug my way out of her arms, "Well, you know, he's not new. But his haircut is. "

She whines, "I need to know his name!" I slouch, "It's Kevin Lane. "
Her mouth slowly widens.

"Ell és valent!" she squeals in her Catalan accent. That is "he is cute" in Catalan.

Soon, Kevin walks over to me and slips a note in my hand, me shivering from his cold hands.

"Llegir això només, " his husky voice koos. That is Catalan for "read this alone".

I read it to myself, and of course it is in Catalan too.

It reads: "Tip One: never stare too much, I don't like people who stare."
