He interrupts, "I know what counselors are all about. They try and act like they give a shit about your life when in fact they're only drowning in their own and try to escape it while trying to fix someone else's who seems helpless."

I'm speechless for a few seconds and before I can speak up he states,

"That's it isn't it? You're too easy to read, do us both a favor and switch patients..." As he eyes me up and down he finishes with, "doll." With that he gets up swiftly and walks away as my eyes meet the grassy ground hearing his retreating footsteps meet the gravel.

Nothing left my mouth as I stared at him in shock. He truly believed that I was part of this. The man, who I had lived with and served for months. The man who I had protected with my life and soul. I stood still while, as he backed away from me quickly. "I trusted you with my life." His cry pierced around the empty room. He looked so destroyed and hurt, but mostly his face portrayed rage and determation. "And I protected you with mine." I spoke back loudly. I didn't hear myself say it but I knew I did. I look into his eyes even from our distance they seemed to wallow me in darkness. "I gave you mine." My voice was quiet and cracked. His face changed only for a second before his old one took over again. He doesn't believe me. It doesn't matter what I say or do he won't listen. He will still believe I am the bad guy. Just as Kane said, we will never be equals, we will never be fellow humans. We will always be monsters to them. "Yakov, I am not the bad guy." I plead one last time. His Russian accent comes out harsh with his next words. "Your right," he pauses, "you are the villain." I stumble back as if I had just been stabbed in the chest. It was a horrible feeling. It was never good with the emotions and yet I recognize the feeling as heart beak. I barely breathe in air as I regain my posture. A battle cry from somewhere distracts me momentarily. I suddenly remember Ewan. I glare at Yakov one more time before I take off after the cries of battle. Jade believes she started the war among the human and her kind. Nothing is as it was portrayed. The lies and the truth are hidden among each other. There is is no clear good and evil. How can there be if one does not know what is right and what is wrong. She was prepared to see death, prepared to inflict death upon others without mercy or remose. She was prepared to do her job which the Facility had given her. But now it doesn't seem so simple anymore. Instead she focuses on keeping her friends alive.

WARNING: This book deals with a highly controversial subject matter. Reader discretion is advised. I fell in love with someone dark, twisted and evil. The sick part is... I can't stop. I had no idea that the man I fell in love with was a monster. I had no idea he was a psycho. There's a lot of sick people in this world, Evie. Believe me, I know." His words have tainted all of my memories. The warnings he gave me have each left a scar. He told me he was evil. He told me he was a monster. I didn't believe him. Instead, I fell in love. I now have a choice to make. I can betray him or learn to live with what he's done. What would you do? Excerpt. "Why?" I ask him, trembling uncontrollably as I kneel down before him. "Tell me why you killed them?" "Because they weren't you." He answers simply, gazing at me intently. "I couldn't have you... so I killed them." "My God..." I whisper, scrambling away from him in fear. "You can't tell anyone." He growls, chasing after me in desperation. "They'll tear us apart and lock me away forever." "Isn't that what you deserve?!" I cry, covering my face with my hands. "I deserve you." He whispers, prising my hands away from me. "And I've made a vow to keep you." "Even if it's against my will?" I sob, weeping violently. "I don't want that." He murmurs, raking his fingers through his hair as he begins to lose control. "But I will if I have to." He places a kiss against my forehead and my breathing slows down. His touch calms me and I despise myself for it, torn between scratching his eyes out and asking him to save me. Prepare yourself for a dark, addictive, gruelling and twisted story. Choose your own ending. For the first time my readers can select the ending they prefer. *This New Adult romance contains mature themes, strong language, sexual content and possible triggers which may distress some readers. "Ahhh!!!" The man's body falls to the floor limp and I fall to the floor out of terror, "Why are you screaming? I saved you from being raped." I look at the man who is holding a gun with a little smile on his face. He holds the gun up to my head and I start crying, "P-Please, p-please don't do this. I-I won't tell anybody." He bends down and I whimper, "I don't think I can let you go. What happened you run and tell in the next three days? You've already seen my face and heard my voice." I shake my head, "I swear I won't tell anybody! I-I don't know anybody!" He looks at me up and down, "I'll give you two choices. I kill you now or you come with me. You can keep me entertained for a while." €€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€ Lyric Dime is a twenty-one year old loner who works in a top tier casino. Drifting through the days with her group of friends, Sammy only cared about escaping it all with the help of casual sex, drugs, and alcohol until she met Brett. He swept her away, and the werewolf world consumed her. Partying took a backseat to the passion and danger filled life as an alpha's mate took over. Suddenly she finds herself struggling with what is real. "Hello Samantha. Do you remember me?" His voice rang in my brain clear and deep. I nodded my head, shock covering my face. Noticing it he reassured me, "Don't be afraid. You know me, my voice. Listen and breathe. You are safe with me." He kept talking to me in my mind. Focusing on the voice I almost didn't realize he was sifting back into his human form. "Brett?" I questioned him aloud. "Yes." He answered simply. "We must go, follow me." "Where are we going?" "Trust me. You are safe." He held out his hand, and I broke eye contact. Looking down at his hand I noticed his naked skin. His body tensed; it was as if he could sense my attraction the instant I felt it. "I'm sorry." I said looking away as I realized I had been starring. "It isn't anything to be embarrassed about. It's an animal instinct. It's natural. Humans only suppress it because they think it's rude. It isn't." He didn't say it like he was bragging but instead with a reassuring confidence about him. "It's actually extremely attracting when a female shows arousal outright." I was shocked; he described me like a lioness in heat. Almost as if my attraction to him was a sign saying 'come get me.' It made me extremely uncomfortable.
