The human race is greedy.

We couldn't just accept our lives, we couldn't accept being normal.

We scientifically changed ourselves, to make us better.
To change, shift into animals. Into wolves.

It did not end well.

Now the world is in chaos. The animals of the world are scared to interact with humans, believing them to be the monsters. Most of the human race has been killed or killed each other. Some are being taken by the Shifters never returning. The ones alive have grouped together, to survive.

Skylar is still human. And yet she has been outcast. Being the only one to be able to calm the dogs, she is considered strange, evil. Her main concern is to stay alive, survive. But it's not until she has a face to face encounter with one of the shifting humans that she questions the way the last humans are living.
