Emma Alonso is a seemingly normal teenager who likes glitter and tulips and believes that smiles are contagious. But her life changes when she moves to Miami and starts attending Iridium High. There, Emma discovers that she is not as normal as she appears -- she is a witch with magical powers. When Emma can control her newfound powers, she tries to use them responsibly. But she's not the only witch at the school. Maddie Van Pelt, the leader of the school's Panthers clique, doesn't use her powers for good as Emma does. Maddie's powers have been passed down through her family, and she is not willing to give up her spot as Iridium's top witch to a new girl, so she will do whatever it takes to keep Emma down.To make things worse she gains a crush on maddie's ex boyfriend Daniel.They start to go back and forth competing for who would make the best girlfriend for Daniel. Having to keep there secret fom Daniel he ends up finding out because of the evil principle who turns anyone that gets in her way into a frog.When Daniel and Emma start to get comftable together the one the only jax shows up in emmas life.JaxNovoa coincidently shows up in emmas life when the council(The council consists of Agamemnon, Desdemona, Lily and Ramona. Ramona was punished for leaving the Council so Lily took her spot. Later on it was revealed that Ramona was kidnapped by Desdemona.

Their responsible for monitoring the witches/wizards and the guardians inside and outside of the Magic Realm. They are shown to be very skeptical about Emma being the chosen one and show lack of trust in her.) tell her she cant date daniel because he is a human.
