Samantha Daniel is a 16 year old girl, she resides in Chicago, a city that is now walled off from the rest of the world after a war. Chicago's citizens are divided into 5 groups, factions. Abnegation; The selfless, Amity; The kind, Erudite; The Intelligent, Candor; The honest, and Dauntless; The brave. Sam was born in amity, but her whole life, she knew it was not where she was meant to be, she wanted adventure, more adventure than she could ever hope for at amity. So when the choosing ceremony approaches, its obvious what faction she will join, dauntless.
Will she make it past the brutal initiation? Or will her inner demon drag her down into oblivion?

This is a backstory for Eric. I've taken bits and pieces from the Divergent series and also the movie. I also used the book about Four that recently came out. It takes you through his journey through initiation on in to leadership. He also develops a love interest that isn't in either the books or the movie.
