In a village near The Great Wall, lived a wise and powerful ninjutsu master that has three students under him. They protect the village against known evil forces and some unknown. The trio each have an element of their own, all so different yet they work so well together. 

Children from the village has been taken, one by one, every night of a week. Disappearing into nothingness as a blow of the midnight wind came through their open window. The village went into a panic at this. 

The trio were on the case and they found a boy with a mysterious past with their master. The boy wanted The Crystal Eye and was using the children as hostage to threaten the master. 

When he found out what he was looking for wasn't there, he stole the only clue to finding it and ran. Now, the trio must find The Crystal Eye before the boy does and defeat him.

It's been almost a year since Nya left the team and merged with the sea. Ever since then Kai and Jay have not been the same. None of the ninjas have. But most of the others had learned to move past it. While Kai and Jay still have their moments of Grieving. Wu was worried about them. She could tell that they still were affected by her "death". Though she was still physically alive, the Nya they knew was no longer there; the Nya they loved was dead. But Wu's worries only grew when he left one day to go do his smoke visions in a more quiet and peaceful place. The other ninja had left to go do some work in Ninjago city while Kai and Jay stayed behind. The two boys recently have been near each other often. They seemed to be discussing something but none of the others would know what. As one of the others comes over they keep their mouths shut. Wu sat by the fire and meditated. How he would love to be able to see what has been going on in the two students' heads, but there was no possible way of doing so. He hummed as his smoke visions started to appear. Everyone was as happy as could be as expected but then the visions slowly started to darken... He awoke again with a small burst of panic but quickly calmed down, he knew to keep them safe. He had to prevent them from whatever they might be trying to do... Little did he know... he was already too late. What did Wu see? What is Jay and kai planning? And who may They be?

What happens when you take 4 hero students, one ex-villain, two aliens, and over 15 ninjas, and throw them all together on a weeks long road trip through their enemies territory? *** The 4th Great Shinobi War has ended, and Gaara is starting to wonder how the nations will maintain their fragile peace without a common enemy. He's devised a plan to go on a diplomatic tour of the shinobi world, and try to establish strong bonds with each village, and Mist Village is his first stop. Joining Gaara and his two ever loyal siblings, Temari and Kankuro, will be the Leaf Shinobi, Naruto, Shikamaru, Ino, Tenten, Hinata, Neji, and surprisingly, Sasuke Uchiha. Sasuke isn't really going for the mission though, he's been persuaded to join them by Gaara's new, out of this world teacher, Shine Likstar, and her partner Wally West, and their current hero trainees, Momo, Shoto, Dabi--and now joining them: Bakugo and Camie. They all don't start off on the best foot, and Gaara wonders how they'll make it to Mist without killing each other. Along the way the group runs into Sasuek's old Team Taka, and makes some detours into creepy lairs, all the while trying not to drive each other insane with their crazy hijinks and culture clashes. Not to mention past trauma. But things may heat up when they actually reach Mist Village and find more than they bargained for. [This story is a sort of spin off of the main story line, and picks up where my shorter retelling of the first show in "New Way of Ninja" leaves off. Read that book first if you want to know how these characters know each other. Otherwise if you just want to jump right in and figure it out, I respect that approach too. This should be a lot of fun. The story is styled to be more Slice of Life/Action, but they'll be ships, funny situations, and angst and drama in plenty for all of you who like a little spiciness with your friendship stories. Promises to be a deep dive.

The universe works in mysterious (and often stupid) ways, though, leaving Kakashi caught up in a series of coincidences that could change the course of his life. And the life of a certain underestimated academy instructor. Rated for crass language, adult themes, violence, and (in later chapters) smut. Kakairu pairing, with minor others scattered throughout. Story starts after Team Seven returns from the Land of Waves and before the Chinin Exams. Canon events are loosely followed prior to the start of the story, then we take a running leap away from it. This is a rewrite/repost of a story I wrote years ago on a different site. I've been watching Naruto again and wanted to revisit this story, but it needed some updates as I wrote it a long while ago. I will mostly be using the western method of first time first, then surname, and will be limited honorifics to a few here and there.
