Do you expect an apocalypse to take place, ever? The answer to that is a big, fat NO. What if it happened on your seventeenth birthday? Meet Lena, the geek in Southland High. All she wanted was to fit in. Lucky her, she shared the same birthday as the most mouth-watering guy in school. She had that special connection towards him. She didn't know what it was but she loved it. Kale is the school's charmer. Football player, straight A student. He feels this huge connection towards the shy geek who sits at the back of the classroom. He always feels the need to protect her or calm her but he doesn't know why. When the apocalypse starts, both of them have to run down a flight of never-ending stairs, avoid getting bitten by a whole lot of zombies and survive. They run past the school library and a student calls out their names. They walk into a classroom and there was the oddest thing. All of them looked like they were from the past. Even the teacher... What both of them don't know was that the zombies were awoken by them, on their seventeenth birthday. They were never ordinary. On their journey, they will unlock special powers, uncover a ton of surprising secrets, find out that they were protected my guardians and mostly, fall in love...
