Hello I'm only a freshman in high school and I've been think about writing a book similar to my life for a while now. Not all of this is true, some parts are some aren't. In order to help me get better at writing Please leave comments that could be helpful. If you don't like my book then don't read it ~Rose
I'm Joy Andrews, I got to school in a small town in Ohio, and I'm not like most people at my school. I'm a little over weight, but you don't exactly notice, I wear clothes that are a bit more mature, I can't afford most things like all of the really nice clothes and shoes. However I know what true wealth is and most people don't see that in ZHS. I'm the girl that appears to be happy most of the time when really she's breaking on the inside, suffering from depression. With a tight group of friends, and the most important friend to me is my best friend who I've had a huge crush on since that September day two years ago.
Braidon Miller is my best friend, he's somewhat popular, (mostly with the girls), he's also a bit of the bad boy. I know it's a cliche, but I don't care, he has snake bites and shaggy dirty blonde hair with plugs, he seemed pretty scary though, he wore ripped jeans all the time and a t-shirt with a woman beater on underneath. Despite his appearance he's actually a really sweet guy that always wants to make me feel better. And he's extremely intelligent

I chuckled slightly and shook my head. "Does that usually work for you? The cute little remarks and that nice smile." I teased. He gave me a sheepish look of surprise. "Most girls would be flattered at my attempt to flirt with them." I scoffed and shook my head. "Well, as a member of the "most girls" community, I can say that I am not." "Wow. That's a bit harsh." He gave me a smug look and crossed his arms. "Sorry," I shrugged. "I'm immune to boy charms. In fact, I think I'm allergic." "Well, don't think so highly of yourself. Just because you have cute dimples and a pretty face, doesn't mean I find you attractive." ------------------------------ Maya Cameron is a senior at Ohio State University and this is the year where you need to get your life together before you get pushed out into the real world. Writing is the only thing that keeps her sane after all of the trauma she's been though. With her mom and dad's unfortunate death, she's been left under the care of her evil step-aunt and forced to stay with her annoying step-cousin. As if college isn't stressful enough. And then there's this other guy in her life. They met online by accident and have been talking for months but she's not brave enough to make it something real. Will Ashby is the all-around superstar on campus. He's practically royalty because he's the running back on the Ohio State Football team: one of the best college football teams in America. Will is the person guys want to be and guy girls want to be with. But in actuality, he'd rather blend in with the background noise. His only focus has been football and finishing his degree. That was until he met this girl. He doesn't even know her name or what she looks like, but she's the girl he'd want to be real with. She raised an eyebrow. "Just look at the guy, doesn't he just scream 'I won't have sex with you and immediately ditch you unless you have dubble D's and the IQ of a goldfish?'" The idea of the story is to present the experience of learning to understand and comfort someone through these struggles. So while these themes are contained within a comical styled story, they are still present so please be mindful of that before you read on. You. You're just a normal girl. A normal girl with a normal life... until you meet the boy with blue hair... Name: unknown Age: unknown Human? Unknown How can someone live a life without anyone knowing of their existence? You don't know. But you want too. Determination fills you with a desire to seek more about this boy. There's just something about him that makes you want to know more. He meets your eye. Is a name really too much to ask? He refuses to give you one. If you keep investigating, you'll get hurt. You'll be killed. You'll regret it. It's not a warning. It's simply the truth. You've been noticing strange things going on. He's not in any records. A shotgun fire?! He has wounds that heal all too quickly. How can a boy get shot and heal by the very next day? Please educate yourself and if I do ever decide to rewrite this cursed book I will be sure to acknowledge some more of the things in this story that are a bit too much. And her words still haunt me, the tears in her eyes when I rejected her still burn my heart but I did what I had to do. People don't love me, especially women...they only seek pleasure from me. I am not a lovable person and someone you should definitely steer clear of. Getting involved with my best friend's (or ex best friend's) sister is stupid and I'm fucking mature enough to not even think of her, of someone who is eight years younger than me. The corner of his mouth tilts upward slightly. I smile again. A smile!? A tiny one, but still. "Hm. So I got you to smile, that's progress, yeah? Can I get your name now?"
