Robyn Booker considers herself a dying soul. She treats life like her personal playground, and thinks nothing of consequences. So of course on the outside, everyone believes that she is just a free spirit who cares for nothing and a badass. Yet in reality she is everything but. In reality she is just a scared and broken little girl, searching for the one thing any person would want...security and for someone to save her.

Jasper Reeves is a social loner. He has two friends who also are social loners. That and the entire school is terrified of them. I mean jeez, you go to jail twice and hospitalize a person then all of a sudden you're labeled a bad boy. He, just like Robyn is not what he appears as on the outside either, he is just trying to let go of his past and move on with his life.
